Overview Drawing and dancing have always been my passions since childhood. I wanted to be either a ballerina or an architect. I was neither one nor the other. I ended up graduating in biochemical engineering, an activity I never practiced. However, while working at the airport, I decided that the time had come to get back to dancing if only to fill in a few hours of my days off. I never thought that things would become more serious, to the point of considering making a living out of dancing. I became a member of the International Dance Council under the auspices of UNESCO and a dance project was born which I named Art Fusion Lab, because it brought together various influences from classical ballet to oriental dance and wanted to be a space for the reinterpretation of culture and Portuguese ethnography. But life took a turn for me and I chose love for the man who would become my husband and father of my children over dancing. This is when I was (we were) surprised by the pandemic. Everything that happened in the first months of confinement made me fear for my safety and that of my family, after all, I worked at the airport, one of the industries most affected by the forced closure of economic activity. That was after all the opportunity that life was reserving for me to rescue another childhood dream. Not dancing, but drawing. I entered the real estate market and quickly realized a huge gap and opportunity, all at the same time: home staging. I had an idea of ​​what it was about and went to study. My studies extended to interior decoration and before I knew it I was creating a project in the area of ​​decoration and home staging. I took my old Art Fusion Lab project and gave it new life. Today I am part of important international networking groups in the area of ​​design and staging, namely the directory of Barb Schwarz, considered the creator of home staging in 1972, and I am in constant training, which allows me to be at the forefront of the home staging industry, design, and decoration. I am Sílvia Henriques, mother of a couple, a stepmother for whatever comes and comes, and the luckiest wife in the world. And I know that the best is yet to come, as Sinatra sings because you write straight with crooked lines.
